EBU STRATEGY

At their May Committee meeting the DBA considered the replies from the clubs. They judged that there was a clear majority in favour of the strategy and instructed the Shareholder to vote for the strategy at the EGM on 4 June. He was also asked to bear in mind the various reservations expressed and to use his judgement on how to act at the EGM.

The DBA have agreed to refund half the EBU fee to any Devon member attending these courses. They will need to apply to the DBA after the event to claim their refund.

COMPETITION CHANGES

For 2008-2009 (1) we will no longer be holding the Pivot Teams competitions (it has been poorly supported and was cancelled last year).(2) the Devon Pairs will be run as a single two session event with all pairs playing as many of the other pairs as possible.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

It’s your association working for you.Each section is always looking for volunteers to help with its events and management.The DBA urgently needs a Tournament Secretary, an Equipment Secretary and a correspondent for the EBU magazine.
