South Hams Charity Swiss Teams - 8 October 2017
Published October 2017The South Hams Charity Swiss Teams was held at Thurlestone Parish Hall on Sunday October 8th. There were 17 tables, and 48 boards were played in six sets of eight. The event was organised by Kingsbridge Regal Bridge Club, and Thurlestone Bridge Club, and as usual an excellent lunch was served to the competitiors. Don Pearson was the non-playing Director and Scorer, and managed the event in his usual calm and competent manner. The chosen charity for the event was the Kingsbridge Parkinson's Support Group, and the raffle in support of this charity raised £280. First prize went to the team of Richard Lingham, Graham Hoare, Vivienne Mabley and Gillian Fawcett, who collected £120 and hold the Kingsbridge Cup for a year.
The non-expert prize for the best team with an average NGS grade less than 50 went to Hilary Jenner, Franciose Raison, Lynn Wetenhall and Lucinda Fletcher-Neal. Full results here.
